About Fit Educators

First and foremost, I am the father of three amazing kids; Robert, Ethan, and Serena. Everything else comes secondary to that as I consider being a father the most important responsibility that I have. I live a very blessed life and I have always felt privileged to serve my community as an eduactor.

I am a lifelong learner who constantly strives to be best version of himself. My journey into education began, ironically, during my formative years. I found myself falling behind in class with concepts that my teachers struggled to explain to me. My efforts to ask questions were disregarded and treated as disruptions to their lessons. I slipped through the cracks and, at the time, enjoyed the ride.

Looking back, I know exactly what I would tell myself during those frustrating times. This is because my goal was to became the educator that I needed when I struggled with school. In this effort to ensure that students under my care would never experience that feeling of lacking support, I found that I was able to help so many others with my approach, personal experiences, and dedication to student success.

Today, I continue to teach while continuing on what I have called The Fit Educator Mission. This is my effort to continue helping learners who struggle academically via individualized tutoring services. It is my intention to grow this effort with likeminded individuals who will serve their local community with the same drive and passion that is indicative of all Fit Educators.

I have worked in the public education classroom setting since 1995. My experience ranges from volunteering, to working as an after school enrichment program coordinator, serving as a teacher's assistant, and working as an educator from K-12 and also Adult School. 

I have formally provided individualized tutoring services since 2003 for students of all ages. However, my first steps at 1-to-1 tutoring began when I was in the 4th grade. Those early experiences set me apart from the competition as I had the opportunity to polish my craft.

I have also worked in the corporate setting for UPS as a Health and Safety Supervisor; creating training materials that have improved the learning experiences of all new hires and establishing a system with procedures that the company continues to use in its Southern California hubs today.
